A six day workshop for post graduate students on “Research Awareness and Research Methodology” was inaugrated in DAV College. Principal Dr. Pawan Sharma inaugurating the workshop highlighted the importance of education and research. Citing the Upanishads he mentioned that education that helps in overpowering ego and seeing the unseen is real. Dr. Neelam Sharma, retired director, Punjab State Council for Science and Technology addressed the students on various research areas available for students. She stressed on the importance of observation in identifying research opportunities. Dean Research, Dr. Praneet Rangi informed that the workshop follows a balanced approach in familiarizing the students with the various career opportunities, sponsorship options available in research, as well as introducing them to the basic fundamentals of research and research methodology tools. The workshop has experts coming from the field of science, commerce, management and humanities.
